With a 60-day cycle, opportunities must be in the pipeline by day 305 of 365 to close this year. Front-load lead generation.
Coverage
At a 25% win rate you need 4.0× your target in qualified pipeline, not the usual rule-of-thumb 3×. Add your open pipeline under “More” to see your gap.
What cuts the number most
- 01Turn 5 more leads in every 100 into opportunities−400 leads
- 02Win 5 more deals in every 100 (+5 points win rate)−333 leads
- 03Raise the average deal by 10%−180 leads
Every figure comes from the numbers you enter. Plans assume your rates hold across the period and every deal is about the average size. This plan's opportunities produce roughly $16,667 a day in sales velocity (opportunities × deal size × win rate ÷ cycle days).

Questions about the Sales Pipeline Calculator
What it does, what it costs, and how far to trust the result.
01What is a sales pipeline calculator?
A free tool that works back from a revenue target to the deals, qualified opportunities, pipeline value and leads you need, using your own deal size, win rate and conversion rates.
02How do I calculate how many leads I need?
Divide the revenue target by your average deal size to get deals, divide deals by your win rate to get opportunities, then divide opportunities by your lead-to-opportunity rate. A $1M target with $10K deals, a 25% win rate and 20% lead-to-opportunity needs 100 deals, 400 opportunities and 2,000 leads.
03What pipeline coverage ratio do I need?
About 1 ÷ your win rate. At a 25% win rate you need 4× your target in qualified pipeline; at 20% you need 5×; at 33%, 3×. The common '3× rule' only fits teams that win about a third of their qualified opportunities.
04Why does the sales cycle matter?
An opportunity created too late can't close in time. With a 60-day cycle, opportunities for a quarter must be in the pipeline in roughly its first month; if the cycle is longer than the period, this period's deals must already exist.
05What is sales velocity?
Opportunities × average deal size × win rate ÷ sales cycle length in days: the revenue your pipeline produces per day. Raising any of the first three, or shortening the cycle, raises it.
06Is the sales pipeline calculator free?
